For reconstitution, add sterile, distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of 1 mg/mL. Gently shake to solubilize the protein completely. Do not vortex. Reconstituted products should be stored at -80 °.
Gatralimab is a biosimilar that targets CD52. Human CD52, also known as Cambridge pathology antigen 1 (CAMPATH-1), is a glycoprotein found in the male reproductive tract and immune cells. It is abundantly expressed on the surface of nearly all human peripheral blood lymphocytes. The CD52 antigen is Gpi-anchored membrane receptor that consists of a small 12 amino acid peptide attached to a large N-linked carbohydrate group. CD52 is a potent target for inducing cytolysis of mature lymphocytes. Alemtuzumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting CD52, is used as an immunomodulatory drug for the treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia, T cell lymphomas, multiple sclerosis, and other diseases.
