H3R8cit Antibody (MA569802) in WB
Western blot analysis of H3R8cit in wild type (WT) and 293F cells. Samples were probed with H3R8cit recombinant monoclonal antibody (Product # MA569802) at 1:5,000 dilution incubated at room temperature for 1. 5 hours. Secondary antibody: HRP-conjugated Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at 1:10,000 dilution. Lysates/proteins: 30 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST.

Histone H3 is a core component of the nucleosome, the basic unit of chromatin. The citrullination of arginine residues, such as H3R8, can lead to the loss of positive charge on the histone, thereby impacting histone-DNA interactions and influencing chromatin structure and function. H3R8 citrullination has been implicated in various biological processes including cellular differentiation, apoptosis, and the immune response. Abnormal levels of histone citrullination, including H3R8cit, have been associated with autoimmune diseases (such as rheumatoid arthritis), cancer, and other pathological conditions.
