HPV Type 16/18 L1 refers to the L1 protein of the human papillomavirus (HPV) types 16 and 18. These two types of HPV are responsible for causing the majority of cervical cancer cases worldwide. The L1 protein is a structural protein that forms the outer shell of the HPV virus. Vaccines targeting the L1 protein have been developed to prevent HPV infection and subsequent development of cervical cancer.
