IKAP Antibody (A303-163A) in WB
Detection of human IKAP by western blot and immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 µg for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) and HEK293T (T; 50 µg) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-IKAP antibody (Product # A303-163A) used for WB at 0.1 µg/mL (A) and 1 µg/mL (B) and used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. IKAP was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-IKAP antibody A303-164A, which recognizes a downstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 30 seconds (B).

The protein encoded by this gene is a scaffold protein and a regulator for 3 different kinases involved in proinflammatory signaling. This encoded protein can bind NF-kappa-B-inducing kinase (NIK) and IKKs through separate domains and assemble them into an active kinase complex. Mutations in this gene have been associated with familial dysautonomia.
