ITLN1 Antibody (PA5-100151) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of ITLN1 in HepG2 cells. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with ITLN1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-100151) and mouse anti-beta tubulin antibody for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) (Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG(H+L) (Green) were used as the secondary antibodies. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

Antibody detects endogenous levels of total ITLN1.
Target Information
ITLN1 has no effect on basal glucose uptake but enhances insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in adipocytes. ITLN1 increases AKT phosphorylation in the absence and presence of insulin. ITLN1 may play a role in the defense system against microorganisms. ITLN1 may specifically recognize carbohydrate chains of pathogens and bacterial components containing galactofuranosyl residues, in a calcium-dependent manner. ITLN1 may be involved in iron metabolism.
