Japanese Encephalitis Envelope Protein Antibody (PA5-111964) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of Japanese Encephalitis Envelope Protein in paraffin-embedded Japanese encephalitis virus BHK-21; Green: Envelope protein (JEV), Blue: nucleus. Antigen retrieval was performed using citrate buffer (pH 6.0, 15 min). Sample was treated with paraffin-embedded, incubated with polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-111964) at a dilution of 1:2,000, followed by DAPI (blue).

Japanese encephalitis (JE) is an infection of the brain caused by the Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV). While most infections result in little or no symptoms, occasional inflammation of the brain occurs. In these cases, symptoms may include headache, vomiting, fever, confusion and seizures. The JEV envelope protein (E) facilitates cellular attachment and membrane fusion and is the primary target of neutralizing antibodies.
