Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 25 µL of sterile water.
Specific Species Reactivity: Arabidopsis thaliana, Beta vulgaris
KUA1 encodes a MYB-family transcription factor that localizes to the nucleus and functions in transcriptional regulation during plant development and stress responses; in Arabidopsis, KUA1 acts as a circadian-regulated regulator of leaf cell expansion by modulating reactive oxygen species (ROS) homeostasis, at least in part through direct transcriptional control of genes involved in ROS detoxification, thereby constraining cellular ROS levels to permit proper growth. Structurally, KUA1 is a DNA-binding regulatory protein characterized by an N-terminal MYB-type DNA-binding domain typical of plant MYB factors and a C-terminal region consistent with transcriptional regulatory activity, supporting its role as a sequence-specific transcriptional regulator that links temporal (circadian) cues to redox balance and growth control.
