Galectin 9 Antibody (MA562371) in Flow
Flow cytometry (intracellular staining) of Galectin 9 in Jurkat cells. Samples were stained with Galectin 9 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA562371) using a dilution of 1.67 µg/mL. Separation of stained Jurkat cells (red-filled) from Jurkat cells stained using mouse IgG1 isotype control (MOPC-21) Alexa Fluor® 488 antibody (1.67 µg/mL, black-dashed).

The galectins are a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. The protein encoded by this gene is an S-type lectin. It is overexpressed in Hodgkin's disease tissue and might participate in the interaction between the H and RS cells with their surrounding cells and might thus play a role in the pathogenesis of this disease and/or its associated immunodeficiency. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
