Immunocytochemistry analysis of MCAK using anti-MCAK antibody (Product # PA5-79554) . MCAK was detected in a section of U2OS cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum and then incubated with 2μg/mL rabbit anti-MCAK antibody (Product # PA5-79554) overnight at 4°C. Small molecules (up to 70 kD) can pass through the nuclear pore by nonselective diffusion while larger molecules are transported by an active process. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the importin alpha family, and is involved in nuclear protein import.
