Store at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.

MnSOD3, also called manganese superoxide dismutase 3, is a plant antioxidant enzyme that converts superoxide radicals to hydrogen peroxide and oxygen to protect cells from oxidative damage. It typically localizes to mitochondria, where it safeguards respiratory electron transport and maintains redox balance under stress such as drought, salinity, cold, and pathogen challenge. MnSOD3 uses a manganese cofactor and works with catalase and peroxidases that detoxify the hydrogen peroxide it produces, supporting energy metabolism and signaling. Its expression is developmentally regulated and induced by environmental cues, and perturbation of MnSOD3 affects stress tolerance, growth, and metabolic efficiency by altering reactive oxygen species homeostasis.
