NCS1 Antibody (MA5-44903) in WB
Western blot analysis of NCS1 in different lysates. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% BSA in PBS for 1 hour at room temperature. Samples were incubated in NCS1 Monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-44903) using a dilution of 1:500 in 5% BSA at room temperature for 2 hours followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:5,000 for 1 hour at room temperature. Positive control: Lane 1: SH-SY5Y cell lysate; Lane 2: Rat brain tissue lysate; Lane 3: Mouse cerebellum tissue lysate.

This gene is a member of the neuronal calcium sensor gene family, which encode calcium-binding proteins expressed predominantly in neurons. The protein encoded by this gene regulates G protein-coupled receptor phosphorylation in a calcium-dependent manner and can substitute for calmodulin. The protein is associated with secretory granules and modulates synaptic transmission and synaptic plasticity. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
