NPAS1 Antibody (MA5-27187) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry was performed on paraffin-embedded human embryonic brain cortex tissue. To expose target proteins, heat-induced epitope retrieval by 10mM citric buffer, pH6.0, 100°C for 10min. Following antigen retrieval, tissues were probed with a NPAS1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-27187) at a dilution of 1:500.

NPAS1 is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH)-PAS family of transcription factors. Studies of a related mouse gene suggest that it functions in neurons. The exact function of this gene is unclear, but it may play protective or modulatory roles during late embryogenesis and postnatal development.
