NPC1L1 Antibody (PA5-103101) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of NPC1L1 in A549 cells. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with NPC1L1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-103101) and mouse anti-beta tubulin antibody for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) (Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG(H+L) (Green) were used as the secondary antibodies. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

Niemann-Pick type C1 Like 1 protein (NPC1L1 or NPC3) is enriched in the small intestine and is found in the brush border membrane of enterocytes. It plays a critical role in absorption of intestinal cholesterol.
