Reconstitution: 25 µL, 50 µL or 0.2 mL double distilled water (DDW), depending on the sample size. The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, it should be stored at -20C. The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4C for up to 1 week. For longer periods, small aliquots should be stored at -20C. Avoid multiple freezing and thawing. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10000 x g 5 min).
Netrin-3 (NTN3) is a gene located on chromosome 16q22.1, encoding a protein that belongs to the netrin family of secreted molecules crucial for axon guidance and cell signaling in nervous system development. NTN3 is primarily expressed in the central nervous system, where it functions as a guidance cue for developing neurons, influencing processes such as axon attraction or repulsion and the establishment of neural networks. The protein interacts with specific receptors on neuronal growth cones to mediate directional movement and synapse formation. Beyond its role in neural development, NTN3 is involved in tissue morphogenesis and cellular migration in other physiological contexts. Aberrant expression or mutations in NTN3 can lead to developmental disorders and neurodegenerative conditions due to impaired neural pathway formation. Research into NTN3 continues to explore its therapeutic potential for enhancing neural repair and regeneration in pathological states.
