          Neuroligin 1 Antibody (MA5-45687) in ICC/IF

          Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis using human neuroblastoma cells. Fixation involved 4% Formaldehyde for 15 min at RT. Samples were incubated with Neuroligin 1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45687) at 1:100 for 60 min at RT, followed by Goat Anti-Mouse ATTO 488 at 1:100 for 60 min at RT.           Mouse: 99% identity (125/126 amino acids identical). Human: 99% identity (125/126 amino acids identical) >40% identity with Neuroligin-2 and -3.

          2 µg/mL of MA5-45687 was sufficient for detection of Neuroligin-1 in 20 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.|Detects approximately 120kDa. Does not cross-react with other Neuroligins.

          This antibody was formerly sold as clone S97A-31.

          This gene encodes a member of a family of neuronal cell surface proteins. Members of this family may act as splice site-specific ligands for beta-neurexins and may be involved in the formation and remodeling of central nervous system synapses.
