Norrin Antibody (600-401-DD5) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry of Norrin antibody. Tissue: Jurkat cells. Fixation: formalin fixed paraffin embedded. Antigen retrieval: not required. Primary antibody: Norrin antibody at 5 µg/mL for 1 hr at RT. Secondary antibody: Peroxidase rabbit secondary antibody at 1:10,000 for 45 min at RT. Localization: Norrin is secreted into extracellular regions. Staining: Norrin as precipitated blue signal with brown counterstain.

NDP (Norrie disease protein), also known as norrin, is a secreted signaling protein encoded by the NDP gene that activates the canonical Wnt/β-catenin pathway by binding the Frizzled-4 (FZD4)/LRP5 receptor complex. It plays an essential role in retinal vascular development, maintenance of the blood-retina barrier, and inner ear vascularization. Loss-of-function variants in NDP cause Norrie disease and can also contribute to familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR).
