OR2L3 (Olfactory Receptor Family 2 Subfamily L Member 3) is a human gene that encodes a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) involved in olfaction. It is expressed in the olfactory epithelium, where it detects specific odorant molecules and initiates neuronal signaling pathways that contribute to the sense of smell. Like other olfactory receptor genes, OR2L3 is typically intronless and part of a large, highly diverse gene family specialized for recognizing a wide range of chemical compounds.
