Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.
Specific Species Reactivity: Arabidopsis thaliana, Nicotiana benthamiana
PGDH3, also called 3 phosphoglycerate dehydrogenase 3, is an enzyme in the phosphorylated serine biosynthesis pathway that diverts 3 phosphoglycerate from glycolysis to produce phosphoserine and ultimately L serine in plants. Serine supports protein synthesis, one carbon metabolism, photorespiration, and redox balance, making PGDH3 important for growth and stress adaptation. PGDH3 catalyzes the NAD dependent oxidation of 3 phosphoglycerate to 3 phosphohydroxypyruvate and often shows condition and tissue specific expression, complementing other PGDH isoforms to meet serine demand during development and under light and abiotic stress. Perturbation of PGDH3 affects serine pools, impacts photorespiratory efficiency, and alters metabolic flexibility and resilience through changes in amino acid and redox homeostasis.
