Immunohistochemistry of Rabbit anti-PIK4CB / PI4KB antibody. Tissue: Liver. Fixation: formalin fixed paraffin embedded. Antigen retrieval: not required. Primary antibody: PIK4CB / PI4KB antibody at 5 µg/mL for 1 h at RT. Secondary antibody: Peroxidase rabbit secondary antibody at 1:10,000 for 45 min at RT. Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with bat, rat, primate, mouse, and human based on 100% sequence homology. Cross-reactivity with PI4K beta from other sources has not been determined.

PI4KB and PI4KA are the two human type III PI4 kinases, which share sequence similarly with PI3 kinases and phosphorylate the 4 position of phosphotidyl inositol. Transporter for alanine, serine, cysteine, and threonine. Exhibits sodium dependence. Target protein phosphorylates phosphatidylinositol (PtdIns) at the D4 position of the inositol ring; may play a role in neuronal differentiation and maturation.
