PI4KB Antibody (A303-734A) in IP
Detection of human PI4KB by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PI4KB antibody (Product # A303-734A) used for IP at 6 µg/mg lysate. PI4KB was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-PI4KB antibody A303-733A, which recognizes an upstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated PI4KB, A303-733A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 seconds.

PI4KB and PI4KA are the two human type III PI4 kinases, which share sequence similarly with PI3 kinases and phosphorylate the 4 position of phosphotidyl inositol. Transporter for alanine, serine, cysteine, and threonine. Exhibits sodium dependence. Target protein phosphorylates phosphatidylinositol (PtdIns) at the D4 position of the inositol ring; may play a role in neuronal differentiation and maturation.
