PIAS1/PIAS2 Antibody (MA5-38199) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of PIAS1/PIAS2 in paraffin-embedded human appendix. Samples were incubated with PIAS1/PIAS2 Monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-38199) using a dilution of 1:100 (40x lens). Perform microwave antigen retrieval with 10 mM Tris/EDTA buffer pH 9.0 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

This gene encodes a member of the protein inhibitor of activated STAT (PIAS) family. PIAS proteins function as SUMO E3 ligases and play important roles in many cellular processes by mediating the sumoylation of target proteins. This protein plays a central role as a transcriptional coregulator of numerous cellular pathways includign the STAT1 and nuclear factor kappaB pathways.
