PIM1 Antibody (710504) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence analysis of Serine/threonine-protein kinase pim-1 was performed using 70 confluent log phase K-562 cells. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 15 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature. The proto-oncogene PIM1 is upregulated in prostate cancer. PIM1, which belongs to the Serine/Threonine protein kinase family, is thought to play a role in signal transduction in blood cells. The protooncogene PIM1 encodes a protein kinase upregulated in prostate cancer. It may affect the structure or silencing of chromatin by phosphorylating HP1 gamma/CBX3. PIM1 is expressed primarily in cells of the hematopoietic and germ line lineages.
