PPP1R9B Antibody (PA5-99795) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of PPP1R9B in Hela cells. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with PPP1R9B polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-99795) and mouse anti-beta tubulin antibody for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) (Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG(H+L) (Green) were used as the secondary antibodies. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

Protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 9B (PPP1R9B), also known as Neurabin II or spinophilin, is a gene located on chromosome 17q21.32 that encodes a regulatory protein predominantly expressed in the brain. PPP1R9B is involved in modulating the activity of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1), a crucial enzyme in cellular signaling pathways responsible for dephosphorylation of target proteins. Spinophilin functions by anchoring PP1 to specific subcellular locations, such as synaptic sites, thereby influencing synaptic plasticity, neurotransmission, and signal transduction.
