PRKCDBP Antibody (PA5-99979) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of PRKCDBP in HeLa cells. Samples were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100, blocked with 10% serum (45 min at 25°C), incubated with mouse anti-beta tubulin and PRKCDBP polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-99979) using a dilution of 1:200 (1 hr, 37°C), and followed by goat anti-rabbit IgG Alexa Fluor 594 (red) and goat anti-mouse IgG Alexa Fluor 488 (green).

JAB-1 is a 38 kDa protein which was originally described as a coactivator for cJUN. It is present in a large protein complex called the "Signalosome", which has been proposed to play a signaling role in mammalian cells. This protein complex appears to be analogous to the COP9 complex in plants, which is important in light-mediated plant development. Although the specific function of JAB-1 in this complex is unclear, it has recently been implicated in targeting proteins for degradation by the proteasome.
