Phospho-Paxillin (Ser178) Antibody (PA5-143738) in WB
Western blot of Phospho-Paxillin (Ser178) in A431 cells (20 µg/lane) serum starved overnight and treated with EGF (100 ng/mL) for 5 minutes. The blot was probed with mouse monoclonal anti-Paxillin or rabbit Phospho-Paxillin (Ser178) polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-143738).

This antibody detects a 68kDa* protein corresponding to the molecular mass of phosphorylated paxillin on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of EGF treated A431 cells, but not in A431 control cells. Similar results were seen in calyculin A treated human A431 and aortic endothelial cells.
靶标信息
Paxillin is a focal adhesion protein and a substrate for several tyrosine kinases such as src, FAK, and p210BRC/ABL. The tyrosine phosphorylation of paxillin is affected by conditions that change cell-cell adhesion. Paxillin associates tightly with FAK and Crk through its SH2 domain. This interaction is independent of the extracellular matrix. Although paxillin was initially discovered in fibroblasts, its phosphorylation may also be important during neurite extension during differentiation.
