Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with rat, human, and mouse based on 100% sequence homology. Cross-reactivity with Protein Kinase C delta-Binding Protein from other sources has not been determined.

JAB-1 is a 38 kDa protein which was originally described as a coactivator for cJUN. It is present in a large protein complex called the "Signalosome", which has been proposed to play a signaling role in mammalian cells. This protein complex appears to be analogous to the COP9 complex in plants, which is important in light-mediated plant development. Although the specific function of JAB-1 in this complex is unclear, it has recently been implicated in targeting proteins for degradation by the proteasome.
