RARRES1 Antibody (PA5-47645) in WB
Western blot analysis of RARRES1 in mouse spleen tissue. Samples were incubated in RARRES1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47645) using a dilution of 1 µg/mL followed by a HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG secondary antibody. A specific band was detected for RARRES1 at approximately 33 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.

In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human RARRES1 is observed.

This gene was identified as a retinoid acid (RA) receptor-responsive gene. It encodes a type 1 membrane protein. The expression of this gene is upregulated by tazarotene as well as by retinoic acid receptors. The expression of this gene is found to be downregulated in prostate cancer, which is caused by the methylation of its promoter and CpG island. Alternatively spliced transcript variant encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
