RP1 Antibody (A302-713A) in IP
Detection of human RP1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-RP1 antibody (Product # A302-713A) used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate. RP1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-RP1 antibody A302-714A, which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated RP1, A302-714A was used at 0.4 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

The protein encoded by this gene shares significant homology to the adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) protein-binding EB1 gene family. The function of this protein is unknown; however, its homology suggests involvement in tumorigenesis of colorectal cancers and proliferative control of normal cells. This gene may belong to the intermediate/early gene family, involved in the signal transduction cascade downstream of the TCR. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
