RUFY1 Antibody (A304-883A) in IP
Detection of human RUFY1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-RUFY1 antibody (Product # A304-883A) (lot 1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. RUFY1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-RUFY1 antibody A304-884A. For blotting immunoprecipitated RUFY1, A304-883A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

This gene encodes a protein that contains a RUN domain and a FYVE-type zinc finger domain. The encoded protein binds to phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate (PI3P) and plays a role in early endosomal trafficking, tethering and fusion through interactions with small GTPases including Rab4, Rab5 and Rab14. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.
