Ras (A59T Mutant) Antibody (PA5-78084) in WB
Western Blot analysis of Ras (A59T Mutant) was performed by separating 30 µg of non-transfected (–) and transfected (+) 293T whole cell extracts by 12% SDS-PAGE. Proteins were transferred to a membrane and probed with a Ras (A59T Mutant) Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-78084) at a dilution of 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

Ras is an N-ras oncogene encoding a membrane protein that shuttles between the Golgi apparatus and the plasma membrane. The process of shuttling is regulated through palmitoylation and depalmitoylation by the ZDHHC9-GOLGA7 complex. The encoded protein, which has intrinsic GTPase activity, is activated by a guanine nucleotide-exchange factor and inactivated by a GTPase activating protein. Mutations in Ras gene have been associated with somatic rectal cancer, follicular thyroid cancer, autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome, Noonan syndrome, and juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia.
