Retrovirus-related Gag Antibody (PA5-120018) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry-Immunofluorescence analysis of Retrovirus-related Gag in Retrovirus-related Gag transfected 293 cells (red) and HA-tag staining (green) using Retrovirus-related Gag Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-120018). The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue). Cells were fixed in paraformaldehyde, permeabilised with 0.25% Triton X100/PBS.

Intracisternal A-type particles (IAP) are defective endogenous retroviruses that accumulate in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) of rodent cells. The enveloped particles are produced by assembly and budding of IAP Gag polyproteins at the ER membrane. Readthrough of the terminator UAA occurs between the codons for Met-218 and Ala-219. This particle is a defective retrovirus.
