SETDB1 Antibody (MA5-47120) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of SETDB1 in HeLa cells. Cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: SETDB1 stained by SETDB1 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-47120) diluted at 1:500. Red: alpha Tubulin, a cytoskeleton marker, stained by alpha Tubulin antibody [GT114] diluted at 1:1,000. Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI.

This gene encodes a histone methyltransferase. The encoded enzyme catalyzes the reaction of S-adenosyl-L-methionine and histone L-lysine to produce S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and histone N(6)-methyl-L-lysine. The encoded protein likely functions in transcriptional repression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
