Lyophilized antibody can be stored at -20°C for up to 3 years. Re-constituted antibody can be stored at 4°C for several days to weeks. Once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.
Specific Species Reactivity: Arabidopsis thaliana, Nicotiana tabacum
STN7 encodes a chloroplast thylakoid-associated serine/threonine protein kinase that localizes predominantly to the stroma lamellae region of the thylakoid membrane. The protein is an integral membrane kinase with an N-terminal hydrophobic transmembrane segment that anchors it in the thylakoid, coupled to a large C-terminal protein kinase catalytic domain exposed on the stromal side where its phospho-targets reside; this architecture supports redox-responsive regulation linked to the photosynthetic electron transport chain. Functionally, STN7 is the major kinase driving reversible phosphorylation of light-harvesting complex II (LHCII) antenna proteins, thereby promoting state transitions that redistribute excitation energy between photosystem II and photosystem I to balance electron flow and optimize photosynthetic performance under changing light quality and intensity. Loss of STN7 abolishes LHCII phosphorylation and blocks state transitions, underscoring its central role in short-term light acclimation and maintenance of photosynthetic redox homeostasis.
