Lyophilized antibody can be stored at -20°C for up to 3 years. Re-constituted antibody can be stored at 4°C for several days to weeks. Once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.
Specific Species Reactivity: Arabidopsis thaliana
STO1 encodes a predominantly nuclear protein that shuttles with messenger ribonucleoprotein particles and functions as the large subunit of the conserved nuclear mRNA cap-binding complex, partnering with the small cap-binding subunit to recognize the 5' m7G cap on nascent transcripts and coordinate downstream RNA-processing steps. In budding yeast, STO1 is an essential, large polypeptide that acts as a scaffold for RNA and protein interactions within cap-bound pre-mRNPs, supporting efficient pre-mRNA splicing, 3'-end formation, and RNA quality control; it also contributes to nuclear export of poly(A)+ mRNA through interactions with mRNA-binding/export factors and has been linked to genome-end homeostasis through roles in telomere maintenance.
