For reconstitution, add sterile, distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of 1 mg/mL. Gently shake to solubilize the protein completely. Do not vortex. Reconstituted products should be stored at -80 °.
This antibody can also be cross referenced by the term Genentech patent anti-STOP-1.
The STOP1 gene (sensitive to proton rhizotoxicity) encodes a transcription factor in plants, particularly in species such as Arabidopsis thaliana. This gene plays a crucial role in the regulation of aluminum tolerance by controlling the expression of genes involved in citrate efflux. The citrate efflux facilitates the chelation and detoxification of aluminum ions in the rhizosphere, protecting root growth under acidic soil conditions. STOP1 contains C2H2-type zinc finger domains that enable its function as a DNA-binding transcription factor. The gene’s activity is induced under conditions of aluminum stress, contributing to enhanced root growth and plant survival in acidic soils.
