SUV39H1 Antibody (A302-127A) in WB
Detection of human SUV39H1 by western blot and immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate (5, 15 and 50 µg for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-SUV39H1 antibody (Product # A302-127A) used for WB at 0.04 µg/mL (A) and 1 µg/mL (B) and used for IP at 10 µg/mg lysate. SUV39H1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-SUV39H1 antibody BL2780, which recognizes a downstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 30 seconds (B).

靶标信息
This gene encodes an evolutionarily-conserved protein containing an N-terminal chromodomain and a C-terminal SET domain. The encoded protein is a histone methyltransferase that trimethylates lysine 9 of histone H3, which results in transcriptional gene silencing. Loss of function of this gene disrupts heterochromatin formation and may cause chromosome instability. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
