Please note: We are reviewing Western blot images included in the antibody testing data in our catalog, including those provided by third parties. Unless expressly labeled or annotated as “raw-unedited”, Western blot images included in the antibody testing data in our catalog may have been edited, optimized or otherwise adjusted for presentation.
Specificity: This antibody recognizes TDRD3 (Tudor domain-containing protein 3). It binds to a folded domain, amino acids 1-455. TDRD3 is a scaffolding protein that specifically recognizes and binds dimethylarginine-containing proteins.
TDRD3 belongs to the tudor domain group of proteins, which are prevalent among proteins involved in RNA metabolism. TDRD3 is widely expressed and localizes predominantly in the cytoplasm. It is detected in heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney, and pancreas. Overexpression of TDRD3 in cells induces the formation of stress granules. Multiple isoforms of TDRD3 exist due to alternative splicing variants. In humans, the gene is located on chromosome 13.
