TGFBR3 Antibody (PA5-142353) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry-Immunofluorescence analysis of TGFBR3 in A431 cells using TGFBR3 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-142353). Cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton, and incubated with the primary antibody for 1hr (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL), showing cytoplasmic staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Negative control: Unimmunized goat IgG (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL).

This locus encodes the transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta type III receptor. The encoded receptor is a membrane proteoglycan that often functions as a co-receptor with other TGF-beta receptor superfamily members. Ectodomain shedding produces soluble TGFBR3, which may inhibit TGFB signaling. Decreased expression of this receptor has been observed in various cancers. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
