Store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C; once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.
TM2 is a plant MADS box transcription factor associated with regulation of flowering and floral organ development. It binds DNA as part of multimeric complexes to control expression of genes that define meristem identity, organ initiation, and maturation, integrating signals from photoperiod, vernalization, and hormone pathways. TM2 contributes to proper timing of the transition from vegetative to reproductive growth and to specification of floral structures, working with other MADS factors to form combinatorial codes that set developmental outcomes. Expression of TM2 is stage and tissue specific, and perturbation alters flowering time, organ morphology, and fertility, reflecting its central role in reproductive development.
