TOP1 Antibody (MA571914) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of TOP1 in MCF-7 cells. Permeabilized with Trinton X-100 at room temp for 20 min. Samples were incubated with TOP1 Recombinant Monoclonal (Product # MA571914 using a dilution at 1:100, for 90 min at 37°C. Followed by conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG antibody (green) at 37°C for 90 min, DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei. PBS instead of the primary antibody was used as the blank control.

Target Information
This gene encodes a DNA topoisomerase, an enzyme that controls and alters the topologic states of DNA during transcription. This enzyme catalyzes the transient breaking and rejoining of a single strand of DNA which allows the strands to pass through one another, thus altering the topology of DNA. This gene is localized to chromosome 20 and has pseudogenes which reside on chromosomes 1 and 22.
