TRPM2 Antibody (A300-414A) in WB
Detection of human TRPM2 by western blot. Samples: Jurkat Membrane Prep (50, 15, 5 µg). Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-TRPM2 antibody (Product # A300-414A) (lot A300-414A-3) used for WB at 0.1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

TRPM2 belongs to the ion transport protein family which includes Sodium, Potassium, Calcium ion channels. This family is characterized by proteins possessing 6 transmembrane helices in which the last two helices flank a loop which determines ion selectivity. TRPM2 is activated by oxidative stress and confers susceptibility to cell death. Further, TRPM2 is a calcium-permeable cation channel that is regulated by free intracellular ADP-ribose. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of the TRPM2 gene have been described, but their full-length nature is not known.
