TSEN34 Antibody (PA5-112294) in WB
Western Blot analysis of TSEN34 using TSEN34 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-112294) at a dilution of 1:500. Lane A: HCT-116 whole cell lysate, Lane B: U-251 MG whole cell lysate, (Lysates/proteins at 30 µg per lane). The secondary antibody used was a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L)/HRP at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the ECL technique and performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 34 kDa. Observed band size: 36 kDa (We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands).

TSEN34 encodes a catalytic subunit of the tRNA splicing endonuclease, which catalyzes the removal of introns from precursor tRNAs. The endonuclease complex is also associated with a pre-mRNA 3-prime end processing factor. A mutation in this gene results in the neurological disorder pontocerebellar hypoplasia type 2. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.
