Lyophilized antibody can be stored at -20°C for up to 3 years. Once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.

HCF164 encodes a nuclear-encoded chloroplast protein that localizes to the thylakoid membrane with its functional redox domain exposed to the thylakoid lumen, consistent with a role in lumenal thiol-disulfide chemistry during photosynthetic complex maturation. The protein is reported to be ~261 amino acids and organized into an N-terminal hydrophilic region bearing features consistent with a chloroplast targeting/transit sequence, followed by a single hydrophobic transmembrane segment that anchors it in the thylakoid, and a C-terminal thioredoxin-like domain containing the canonical active-site WCxxC motif required for disulfide reductase activity. Functionally, genetic and biochemical data indicate HCF164 is indispensable for post-translational biogenesis/assembly of the cytochrome b6f complex, and it participates in transferring reducing equivalents into the lumen: stromal m-type thioredoxin can provide reducing power (indirectly across the membrane) to maintain HCF164 in a reduced state, enabling HCF164 to reduce lumen-facing target proteins, including components linked to cytochrome b6f accumulation and additional thylakoid substrates such as the PSI-N subunit, thereby supporting proper assembly and/or maintenance of photosynthetic electron transport machinery.
