Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded Urocortin in human Kidney tissue sections. Antigen retrieval was performed using citrate buffer. Samples were blocked with blocking buffer (1.5 hr, 22°C), incubated with Urocortin polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-104471) using a dilution of 1:100 (1.5 hr, 22°C), followed by HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit.

Urocortin Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Immunohistochemistry analysis of Urocortin in mouse muscle tissue. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. Samples were incubated with Urocortin polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-104471) using a dilution of 1:100 (4°C overnight) followed by HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit secondary antibody.

Urocortin Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Western blot analysis of Urocortin in A549 cell lysate (left lane: treated with blocking peptide). Samples were incubated with Urocortin polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-104471).

Antibody detects endogenous levels of total Urocortin.

Urocortin (UCN), a 40 amino acids neuropeptide widely distributed in the central nervous system (CNS), belongs to a family of structurally related peptides including corticotrophin releasing factor (CRF), sauvagine and urotensin I. Urocortin is derived from a larger precursor protein (pro-urocortin, also named corticotensin). Urocortin has biological actions similar to CRF such as stress-related endocrine, autonomic and behavioral responses in mammalian species. It is a potent stimulator of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) secretion by corticotroph cells from the anterior pituitary in vitro and in vivo.
