WFS1 Antibody (PA5-102465) in IHC (P)

Immunohistochemistry analysis of WFS1 in mouse kidney tissue. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. Samples were incubated with WFS1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-102465) using a dilution of 1:100 (4°C overnight) followed by HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit secondary antibody.

Antibody detects endogenous levels of total WFS1.

WFS1 is a novel component of Wolfram syndrome, a rare form of juvenile diabetes. WFS1 plays an important role in maintaining homeostasis of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) in the pancreas. It is normally up-regulated during insulin secretion, whereas inactivation of the protein can cause ER stress. Chronic ER stress is a major involvement in Wolfram syndrome.
