In direct ELISAs, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) Wnt-9b is observed and less than 1% cross-reactivity with rmWnt-1 and rmWnt-4 is observed.

WNT9A is a ligand for members of the frizzled family of seven transmembrane receptors. Probable developmental protein. May be a signaling molecule which affects the development of discrete regions of tissues. WNT9A is likely to signal over only few cell diameters.
