XKR8 Antibody (PA5-98929) in WB
Western Blot analysis of XKR8 using a XKR8 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-98929) at a concentration of 3.4 µg/mL. Positive WB detected in: K562 whole cell lysate, 293T whole cell lysate. A secondary Goat polyclonal antibody to rabbit IgG was applied at a 1:50,000 dilution. Observed band size: 45 kDa.

Promotes phosphatidylserine exposure on apoptotic cell surface, possibly by mediating phospholipid scrambling. Phosphatidylserine is a specific marker only present at the surface of apoptotic cells and acts as a specific signal for engulfment. Has no effect on calcium-induced exposure of phosphatidylserine. Activated upon caspase cleavage, suggesting that it does not act prior the onset of apoptosis.
