AAV Virus VP1/2/3 are structural proteins that assemble into a 60-subunit icosahedral capsid, with VP3 being the most abundant. VP1 contains a phospholipase A2 domain essential for endosomal escape, while VP2 and VP3 contribute to capsid stability and receptor binding. Together, they determine viral tropism, infectivity, and suitability for gene delivery applications.
