ASPP1 Antibody (A300-917A) in IP
Detection of human ASPP1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HEK293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ASPP1 antibody (Product # A300-917A) (lot 1) and rabbit anti-ASPP1 antibody A300-918A For blotting immunoprecipitated ASPP1, A300-918A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

This gene encodes a member of the ASPP family of p53 interacting proteins. The protein contains four ankyrin repeats and an SH3 domain involved in protein-protein interactions. ASPP proteins are required for the induction of apoptosis by p53-family proteins. They promote DNA binding and transactivation of p53-family proteins on the promoters of proapoptotic genes. Expression of this gene is regulated by the E2F transcription factor.
