HCC 5b.1(neo) allows detection of C5b-9 complexes via activated C5, especially in different forms of glomerulonephritis. Does not react with native C5!Polypeptide reacting: MW 200 000 polypeptide of SDS denaturated complement component C5 and C5b of MW 185 000; after C5b activation, an MW 60 000 cleavage product also reacts (weakly)Disorders specifically detected: Detection of C5b-9 complexes via activated C5, whereas native C5 reacts with antibody HCC 5.1. This antibody was used in a Indirect ELISA.
靶标信息
C5b-9 is also known as the TCC. TCC consists of C5b, C6, C7, C8 and C9. The complex forms transmembrane channels which displace lipid molecules and other constituents, thus disrupting the phospholipid bilayer of target cells leading to cell lysis by osmotic leakage. The complex contains neoantigens that are absent from the individual native components and the monoclonal antibody DIA 011-01 is directed against a neoepitope exposed in C9 when incorporated into TCC.
